Vienna Student Investment Research (VSIR) is a student association at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU). We bring together ambitious students with a passion for financial markets, investment analysis, and macroeconomic research.
Our members engage in rigorous bottom-up equity research, fixed income analysis, and macro thematic studies — producing work that meets professional standards. We believe in learning by doing: real analysis, real insights, real discussions.
Beyond research, VSIR fosters a community of like-minded peers through workshops, speaker events with industry professionals, and collaborative case competitions.

VSIR was founded in 2025 by two WU Wien students who saw a gap between academic finance education and the analytical rigor demanded by the investment industry. Today, we are building a community of analysts.
